The Council approved the regular council meeting minutes 11/21/06 and the special called meeting minutes 11/29/06.

Bo Knight addressed the council and asked why he was unable to vote in city school board elections. He stated he lives inside the city limits, but in Marion County. Shane Cook suggested the city should ask for a change to the legislative act establishing the city school district to allow Marion County residents inside the Haleyville city limits to vote in the school board elections.

Approved advertising for two part time class II fire and police dispatcher.

Approved a public hearing for January 16 @ 5:30 p.m. to amend zoning ordinances 813, 815, 2000-12 & 2006-04.

Approved an agreement for landscaping maintenance along Hwy 13 in front of city hall. This is in conjunction with the continuing downtown revitalization plan.

The next scheduled meeting of the city council will be Tuesday, December 19, 6 p.m. at city hall.
